Awesome ride, I'd love to have those wheels for my 98. Can you find out what exhaust that is, I don't recognize it and I thought I've seen them all. Thanks

It's a UFO exhaust. Sounds incredible. Throaty and deep.

The only thing I got from that post is that your dad rides an obnoxiously loud bike that irritates people and further casts a negative feeling towards motorcyclists. :dontknow:

That VMax looks very clean!
When making the scene at Daytona BikeWeek years ago, I dropped over to the AMI Horsepower Shootout where I saw a normally aspirated VMax pull 241 HP.
The outlaw drags at the old Deland Airport was another favorite stop for me. So much more to see than mud wrestling and Main Street during BikeWeek.

Ive always been amazed at the power Yamaha was able to make with bike with 1985 technology! 241 horse is insane!!

Well it's been two weeks without a ride as well, so yeah I'm a regular pissy little bitch right now.

Cool bike and even more cool that you get to ride with your dad . One of my Busa buddies owned a Suzuki B-King for a couple of years. It didn't have the V4 coolness but was a blast to ride as well.

Really? That heavy bike can beat the FZ over 85? Mmmmmmm
Is your bike flashed with pipe? Next time, get the jump on Dad. Son must beat Dad.

My friends dad had, I think it was an 1985, v-max with super trap exhaust and some engine work done to it. I remember that was the first fast bike I had ever rode on. He had to put a back rest on it to keep his wife from sliding off the back. He truly could have worn one of those "If you can read this the bitch fell off" T-shirts and it would have been legit. He took it up to 120 with me on the back and I can say I was glad to have the back rest. My love for bikes started long before that ride, but I'd say my love of performance bikes was sparked that day.

Stock exhaust, no flash until this winter that is. Ill have to give you an update after the mods.
But yes, we're pretty even until 85-90 and then he starts walking away. I have him by maybe a bike or so until then.
