Thank you~

A quick google search yields anywhere from 8-9 seconds. It depends on your transmission and any under the hood mods.

I've honestly never clocked myself either. It could be faster. Again, it honestly depends on the driver's skill, any modifications, and the transmission (6MT vs CVT). A skilled driver is going to get different numbers than some Joe posting a review for a website. If you want to find how fast your 0-60 is with you and your car, just get someone to ride shotgun with a stopwatch and that'll give you a rough idea.

Item9 would be the guy to contact for CRZ numbers. He's put his on a drag strip several times (granted he has a supercharger and a beastly setup, so the numbers will be slightly different!)

I feel that way also sometimes. The road in front of my work is roughly 590-600ft (google earth ruler), and I can hit 60 on it. When I go back on Monday, I will time it.
And yes...it is safe. It is a side road, that only my work has access to at that time.

I know...just hitting the gas with the CVT the 8-9 second thing feels about right (ie when doing a highway merge) but I've also done very rapid gonnaburnitandgetuptospeedthenstopaccelerating moments from a redlight using sport mode with the shifters (they'll auto-shift at redline) and it feels quite a bit faster, although I've not timed it.

Yet.

I don't have a legal "you can accelerate like crazy from 0-60 legally" road around me. 0-45 seems awfully quick, and the way the car picks up when at a fixed ratio is way different than it feels with the CVT. I guess the 6MT ought to be fast but there is the time spent shifting, and I've heard that it hits 58ish in 2nd gear so the shift to 3rd is what hurts the time. I'm convinced it's slower when playing with the CVT versus sport with auto-shifters.

I (and my CRZ) personally love those kind of roads :eyebrows:

I, myself have an CVT and i agree that 0-45 feels surprisingly quick. I believe with the sport plus button the time wil be quicker.

Is this in normal mode or sport?

For me in normal mode the car feels quite slow...and I feel theres no way it hits 60 in the claimed 9 seconds. Its probably possible in sport mode with a bit of S+ on the way.

For me I didn't choose a CRZ for speed. ..I think it was more the looks and the low running costs.

I also bought the car for its looks but my point is that it doesnt feel like 9 secs to get to 60. :). Im talking about being in sport mode (99% mode I drive in).

What!?! You don't like dodging potholes at triple digit speeds?

I love my 1 mile long strip of middle-of-nowhere-road. It can just a bit bumpy and windy at times.

For what it's worth, my other car is a 2001 accord with some mods and the best I ever got out of it was 8.3 seconds. I haven't tried it yet with my 2013 6MT CR-Z, but it sure feels MUCH faster than the accord does to the top of 2nd gear (not quite 60.)

Using a bluetooth OBD II adapter and Torque for android.... about 9.1 seconds, sport mode, CVT. Same thing with the paddle shifters.

did the same thing with my OBD II ended up with 8.1-8.6ish. I did it this summer so I can't remember to well. It was definitely under 9 seconds though.

6 speed, only mod is an CAI

BLF Catback, AEM CAI for me... But also the rim/tire combo I had on at the time were about 2 pounds heavier a piece. With the stock rims/tires it might be a bit quicker - also this was tested in the cold. I'll let you know my findings on the way home from work today with the stock rims back on!
